Yesterday I found a really cool leather backpack from thrift store. Yes, I know, I already have one (seen here) which look almost the same. But I just love detailing of this one - silver buckles, studs and zipper on the back.

Oh.. what can I say... Everything I'm working on at the moment is somehow related with my collection for the fashion contest (pleace recommend me some good songs to use on the runway, not very slow ones but something catchy). So I can't show you anything at the moment :D But I still have little bit time to check some new collections at fall/winter 2010/11 fashion weeks. Paris and Milan fashion weeks are still coming but I've already spotted some trends and found my favourite things. Here are some inspiration boards I made.

The Wang girl and the Chloe girl

Last night we (me & Tuuli) raided our grandma's closet, where she keeps old stuff she even don't use anymore. Our best find is probably the brown leather bag. My aunt used to use that when she went to school. And the brown aviator hat which Tuuli is wearing used to belong to my father, he wore it when he went to the first grade. So it's really old but still nice. I also found some baggy jeans and floral cropped tops. And that's not all because I also did some thirft store shopping yesterday and got dark green vest with many pockets and dull green t-shirt. Today we did a little photo shoot to show you all those things. We were quite inspired in Chloe and Alexander Wang Spring/Summer 2010 collections and the general military trend.

Paint it black

My tonight's outfit. I wore the new skirt with some nice buttons and the scalloped edge I got today. This is not the only thing I got from thrift store today. I have lot of new stuff to show to you;) But now I'm off to watch Alexander Wang live show here. I'm so excited.

McQueen

Fact that Alexander McQueen committed suicide yesterday probably shocked all of us. I can't say that I was his biggest fan because I know only his newst collections. So I felt that it's the right time to look back at his creations. I want to share with you what I found from my old collection catalogs from years 2001-1009.



How amazing is the fur piece (the third from the right) with knitted knee socks and those shoes.

Now I'm sure that he was a genius.
Rest in peace.

But in other news... I did some fabric, DIY-materials, thrift store shopping today. I hope I can show you the result tomorrow or on Sunday.

Carnival

Last I really felt that I need to relax and best way for that was making a pair of earrings. I used two amazing porcelain masks which are bought from Venice. But I didn't have chance to take photographs of myself wearing the earrings at midnight so I used some models from the Vogue Italia.
